    I mean, theres no arguing that the people he defrauded weren't the pillars of the community by any means, but if you want to get down to the nitty gritty neither was this kid.
    
    Just because he did this to 'bad' people doesn't make him any less guilty, or responsible for those actions. And if they went easy on him because of the victims, thats a real problem. That definitely sends the message that its alright to commit crimes against certain groups of people, which is a real slippery slope.
