Looking pretty is costing John Edwards' presidential campaign a lot of pennies. The Democrat's campaign committee picked up the tab for two haircuts at $400 each by celebrity stylist Joseph Torrenueva of Beverly Hills, Calif, $250 in services from a trendy salon & spa in Iowa, and $225 in services from the Pink Sapphire in N.H.

Why is his campaign committee paying for his haircuts?

    $400???

    And he criticizes "the rich"?

Because the left hasn't found a way to blame his need for these haircuts on Bush - yet.

What, he can't get the $20 deluxe at the local barbershop? It's only hair for Pete's sake!

"$225 in services from the Pink Sapphire in Manchester, N.H., which is described on its Web site as 'a unique boutique for the mind, body and face' that caters mostly to women."

        ROFLMAO!

I have spent well over a hundred dollars on one visit to the salon, but I am a girl, and my hair is very long, and I get it cut, styled and highlighted.

It's his money, he can spend what he wants, and it's what the market will bear...conservatives are real hypocrites when it's no bid contracts for Medicare Part B, but sticklers when a millionaire wants to spend his money on a haircut.

I wouldn't say a word if it were his money, you are right, he can do as he likes and if he's dumb enough to pay that much, c'est la vie. But his campaign committee is footing the bill, and somehow, I don't think exotic hair cuts are what his supporters had in mind when they donated to him.
